Every year, thousands of young adults from all over the planet apply to join In The Same Boat for months of beach cleaning. Actually, we are among the most popular volunteer projects in the world.

More than 70% of the applicants are women, and the average age is 23 years.

Most of the applicants are studying or have been studying, having a gap year, but we also have volunteers taking a few months leave from their jobs to get inspiration and new experience. 

We try to fill our teams with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
